Trustee Orientation

PRIOR TO THE ELECTION:  

            1. The Board Secretary will send a letter to each candidate offering to answer                  any questions that the  candidates might have, and inviting the candidates                  to attend Board meetings.

AFTER THE ELECTION: 

            1. The Chairman of the Board will call the newly-elected Trustees welcoming                  them to the Board. 

            2. The newly-elected Trustees will be given a Trustees' Handbook. 

            3. Prior to the next regularly scheduled Trustee Meeting, the newly-elected                   Trustees will be invited to meet with the Library Director and the Chairman
               of  the Board of Trustees or a representative to:

                   a) discuss any questions resulting from review of the Trustees'Manual                       
                  b) See "Orientation" section of the Trustee Manual;
                        review this information about the operation of the library and the role                         of Trustee 

                   c) Tour the Library and meet with the staff.
