The Children's Summer Reading Program is funded by the Friends of the J. V. Fletcher Library, Inc. YAY FRIENDS! Your membership in the Friends of the J. V. Fletcher Library, Inc. makes these programs possible.

One Big World and Many Stories with Vic ‘n Sticks
Summer reading kick off event with musical comedy for the entire family.
Wednesday, July 6
11:30 a.m.
This free drop-in program is for all ages.
(If it rains, please eat before you come. The Concert will then be held in the Meeting Room.)
Lawn Concert with Jeannie Mack
Preschool fun for the entire family with playful rhymes, bouncy songs, and humorous tidbits designed to tickle funny bones.

Magical Stories from Around the World with Mike Bent
One of our favorite and FUNNY magicians returns to present his magical version of stories from around the world.

Camp Read A-Lot
Join us for lots of singing and dancing! Program takes place in the Story Hour Room.

Rocking Reading Party with Steve and Marty
You will be rocking and rolling with musician Steven Blunt and author Marty Kelley. Come prepared to rock your socks off!
Friday, July 15
1 to 3 p.m.
This free drop-in program is for all ages. Parents and caregivers should plan to stay in the Meeting Room during the program.
Free Drop-in Craft
Color a giant sized filter paper, spray it with water, and create a floppy sun hat, a huge butterfly, or a giant bowtie. Drop in any time during these two hours.
Saturday, July 16

NEW Saturday Family Lawn Concert: with Scott Kepnes
Join us for a fun and Free family lawn concert with the highly energetic performance. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch and enjoy the show under the big oak tree on the side of the library

Ever seen scissors sizzle and shiver? Ever taken a bubble shower? This fun high-energy spectacular includes foggy dry ice and floating beach balls.

Red Sox Mascot Wally the Green Monster
During this special program, Wally the Green monster from our own Boston Red Sox will act out one of his books.

Meet and Greet with Red Sox Mascot Wally the Green Monster
Have your picture taken with Wally and get his autograph during this free outside event.

SOLD OUT - Fancy Nancy and Snazzy Sam Extravaganza
Don your fanciest clothes and come have your face painted, make a sparkly craft, decorate a cupcake, eat hor d’oeuvres, and pose for a photo with Fancy Nancy.
Tuesday, August 9
10:00 a.m.
Cake and lemonade at 10 a.m. The performance begins at 10:30 a.m. and takes place outside on the side lawn.

End of Summer Reading Bash with the Toe Jam Puppet Band
This will be a rollicking high energy show that you will not want to miss. Get ready for a show of original music crammed with laughs and overflowing with fun. Bring a blanket and your dancing shoes.
