SIGN-UP FOR THE PROGRAM
Boldly go where no Teen and Tween has gone before this summer by signing up for the 2011Teen and Tween Summer Reading Program starting on June 1, 2011.
You must be a Teen or Tween entering 5th - 12th grade in the Fall of 2011 and a resident of the Town of Westford OR one of your parents/caregivers must be a member of the Friends of the J. V. Fletcher Library, Inc.
You may sign-up for the Program in one of two ways:
Complete the TWILIGHT ZONE Registration Form available at the Twilight Zone display in the YA Department and in the Children's Room).

Starting Monday, June 20, you can submit ONE Book Ballot per week by 5PM each Saturday to save your favorite book (see booklist below) from being sucked into a Black hole. Your vote will also earn an entry for the weekly prize raffles. Winners will be drawn and announced every Monday.
You may cast your vote in one of two ways:
Complete a paper Book Ballot available @ the display in the YA Department or in the Children’s Room. Then submit the Ballot to the Librarian in the Children’s Room and receive your weekly raffle ticket
- OR -
Complete an online Book Ballot (or go back to YA Programs page and Click on VOTE FOR BOOKS). Your Vote and prize selection will be automatically entered for that weeks raffle.

Multiple copies are available @ the J. V. Fletcher Library or can be requested through the Library's online catalog. We hope that you will have the chance to read every book.

LOG YOUR READING:
Keep track of what you read this summer by logging book titles and hours spent reading on the log sheet or the online Twilight Zone Reading Log. The Reading Log is available in paper in the YA Department, in the Children's Room, and online (you must register online if you wish to log your reading online). Your hours spent reading will count towards the Grand Prize or the Absentee Prize Raffles at the end of the Summer. Also, be sure to bring in your log sheet once a week and show the Librarian in the Children’s Room what you have been reading and receive a
FREE ticket for the weekly raffles.

WIN PRIZES:
Mystery Sign-Up Prize
When you sign-up for the program, you will be automatically entered into our Mystery Prize Raffle. The Raffle will be held on Monday August 7, 2011 and the winner will be later that day.
Weekly Prizes
In order to win a Weekly Prize, you must submit your Book Ballot in the Library or online by 5pm on Friday. Also, if you bring in your log sheet once a week to the Library and show a Librarian in the Children’s Room what you have been reading for the week, you will receive a special Asian stamp on your log sheet and a FREE ticket for the weekly raffles. Each week, 4 prizes will be randomly
drawn and awarded to 4 Teens or Tweens. So, if you vote each week, you will have a chance to win a new prize every week. Submit Book Ballots starting June 20, 2011. Winners will be notified the following Monday. Please click Prize List to view the list of Prizes.
Grand Prizes
For every 5 hours spent reading,you will earn a raffle ticket to enter into one of the three Grand Prize drawings at the Final Party. Just bring your tallied Reading Log to the Twilight Zone Final Party on Wednesday August 3, 2011 and redeem it for raffle tickets at the event. Grand Prizes will include: Flip Camera, 2 Movie Passes, & a Bertucci's gift certificate.
Absentee Raffle Prize
If you are not able to make the Twilight Zone Final Party & Grand Prize Raffle, then enter our Teen & Tween Absentee Raffle! Just turn in your tallied Reading Log at the Youth Services Desk during Library hours anytime between July 29 and August 13, 2011 and receive one raffle ticket for every 5 hours you have read. Enter your tickets in the Teen & Tween Absentee Raffle bin in the Children's Room. The drawing will take place on August 15, 2011 and the winner will be notified that day.

PARTICIPATE IN AN EVENT:
Participate in one of our Teen & Tween Events and earn 5 complimentary Raffle Tickets for Weekly Prizes. Just sign-up for one or all Teen Events (Zentangle, Eco-jewelry, Tie-Dye, Jedi Knight Swordplay, Alien Chef Food Challenge). You will receive your complimentary raffle tickets at the event.
